Liz the Radiance Coach
Radiance Queen
Qualified Pleasure Coach of the School of Womanly Arts
and the founder of Sunranges Qoya
I am Liz Reichard (she/her) and I am the founder and owner of Sunranges Qoya.
I have always wanted to help others. I studied law, and during my degree decided that I wanted to work in community law. I wanted to use my abilities to help and empower vulnerable members of our community and to ensure they were treated fairly. I worked extensively with women who had experienced some truly horrific circumstances. It was difficult but very rewarding work. However, after working in this area for over 10 years, it became apparent that it was having a heavy toll on me, my mental health and my family. I knew I needed a change but was at a loss as to what I should do.
In January 2019, I attended a retreat in Macedon, Victoria where one of the sessions was Qoya. I had never heard of it before and had no idea what to expect. The teacher, Nicola Belcher, started the class with an introduction of Qoya that included that there was no way to do it wrong. This was my kind of activity - I'm so uncoordinated! As we started to move, I knew straight away that this practice was something special. I connected with my body in a way I hadn't before. The movements awakened a realisation in me that my essence is wise, wild and free. I experienced that movement can be medicine. I saw how the other women connected with Qoya and the breakthroughs they had. All in an hour and a half! It was liberating and fun as well. I couldn't wait to experience it again.
I wanted to keep doing Qoya on a regular basis but it was hard for me to get to classes as they were in Richmond (I live out past Melbourne Airport!). I put it on the back burner but kept an eye out for chances to do it again. It came in the form of a festival being held at the Abbotsford Convent called Superbloom. Nicola was leading a class there and I knew I had to experience Qoya again. At the end of a class, you are invited to share with a partner something that came up for you during the class that you'd like to take into your week ahead. Unbeknownst to me, the woman I was partnered with was another Qoya teacher. She asked me what I thought of Qoya and I told her how incredible I thought it was. And then she said the magic words: "Why don't you teach?" It was as though I'd been struck by lightning and Marie Kondo's Spark of Joy all rolled into one! That was it! I was going to become a Qoya teacher!!
Now becoming a Qoya teacher is no easy feat. It's a three part affair - the first online and then the second two either in person or online. I decided to do the first part and see how I went. And that's when things got interesting. My Qoya journey has been a case of "jump and you'll be caught". A dear friend paid for the first part of the training as my 40th birthday present. My son won money on a game show and without me knowing deposited $1,000 in my account - which I used to go to New Zealand to do the second part. I had intended to go back to NZ in October 2020 for the last part of my training but sadly the pandemic hit and that was no longer possible. So instead, I transferred it to the online course which was being taught by Rochelle Scheick, the founder of Qoya. Rochelle is in New York State so with the time difference, it meant I was up at 1 am for the sessions. You haven't lived until you've danced Qoya at 1 am - or taught your own class! And then, after all that hard work, strange hours, Zoom classes and so much dancing, I was a fully qualified Qoya teacher.
I started Sunranges Qoya in January 2021, with this deep knowing that this is what I am meant to be doing. I am meant to be bringing Qoya to as many women as I can. To help them realise how wonderful, strong and powerful they are. To give them a safe space without judgement or shame. To come as they are and leave as more of themselves. To connect with other women in their community. To raise each other up and empower each other.
In 2023 I extended my skill set by becoming qualified as a Tri-Certified Pleasure Coach of the School of Womanly Arts.
I now offer nurturing Radiance Coaching sessions online, in groups and one on one. Through coaching I’m able to extend my offering of powerful tools for women that enable self discovery, healing, confidence building and empowerment. My mission is to help women find their inner light and learn ways to make radiance become their default setting for everyday life.
I look forward to sharing the journey with you.

Guest on The Intuition Conversations podcast
About the episode:
In this week's episode I talk to Liz Reichard who is flying the flag for Qoya in Australia. Liz talks to us about family violence and how this impacts the feeling of safety for those involved. Leading on from this we consider intuition from that perspective and how accessing intuition can be a privilege if your basic safety needs are not met. We discuss her journey to Qoya and the differences in how Qoya is taught across the world and what she has learned from many teachers the world over. Finally Liz talks to us about the powerful work she is doing around body neutrality based on her journey of feeling empowered in herself. This is a fantastic episode that truly shows how you can move from feeling unsafe in your body and environment to truly feeling empowered.
